Very informative, the only purpose of sintered pads is when you go for track or do aggressive riding. OEM pads get glazed under heavy breaking round after round on track, They start loosing that effective bite and begin making a metal rubbing noise. example slowing from 200-90 in less than 100 mtrs round after round. OEM pads are manufactured keeping real-world scenarios and regular pads get into operating temp faster than sintered pads just like road tires vs Slicks. The materials used in sintered pads have higher operating temp. also, markings on the rotors give the minimum thickness of the rotors before changing them.

i use adadfox disc brake cleaner for rotor , and rear pads i get it changed every 5k but front one can run for 10k , any disc rotor cleaner should evaporate sooner, not sure how good are ceramic pads though but cost 5 times more than organic ruclips.net/video/MmDekED2X0E/видео.htmlsi=kUZPe72E0H2ufd0c

I was looking forward to this technical aspect of breaking, now I want to rethink. Maybe I need to stick to normal ones procuring the company specified brake pads. Thank you.... 😊 So amongst the three options available: 1. Normal brake pads 2. Sintered brake pads 3. Ceramic brake pads The best option for normal riders would be Normal brake pads. Tarun's voice was not audible, couldn't hear properly on this very important topic. You have to ensure the audio quality before uploading. Vikas bro you are loud and at times vociferous, like a fightig spouse. While Tarun is the charming, sweater speaking like a new lover boy. This was quite amusing.

Sintered pads are useful If you really wanna send the bike but for normal riding organic pads are great and offer amazing feel and Feedback which I can never get from a sintered pad. So unless it's some really fast bike or you do track days, sintered pads aren't needed for normal riding even spirited riding I mean.

It's totally a subjective matter. I personally feel sintered brake pads are needed once the power output goes above 40bhp. Every product in this world is meant to depreciate. The day you bought your motorcycle it started depreciating. If you install sintered pad it doesn't mean every metre or two you'll be applying brakes hard. There are multiple ways of stopping a vehicle. I upgraded to sintered brake pads but that doesn't mean I apply brakes harshly. That way surely the discs will be gone. I majorly rely on engine braking which helps me a lot slowing down my motorcycle. Everything in this world is beneficial if used judiciously. Excessive use of anything is harmful. Be it brake pads or any other stuff.

I always use rubbing alcohol and a bit of scotch brite scrubber to get mucc and oils off the rotor, use soap and water to clean my calipers and the same paired with sandpaper 120 grit to resurface my pads. Been using organic pads for a long time. The best advantage with organic pads is if you mess up get brake oil engine oil diesel petrol silicon grease(used in brake servicing) you can just go ahead and replace them. Since brake pads are porous no matter how hard you scrub the surface the grease once gotten in will not leave the pads for a very long time as vikas said 50-100 km. Not worth the risk to ride for such a long time expecting not to make a mistake and have poor braking performance. "The further you are from stock, the closer you'll stay to home", and vice versa

I think if you hit 120+ speed every time you ride & hard breaking & also always ride open highway frequently only then sintered brake pads are beneficial or you can't feel the difference anyway

Sintered pads are more common than you think. Interceptor 650 comes standard with Brembo Sintered Pads and Brembo disc. Just yesterday I changed front pads of my Honda city, they were sintered. I wish they offered sintered pads with more vehicles. I had a 3rd gen Honda City where I made the mistake of switching to organic pads from Bosch, they were cheaper, quiter and were supposed to make disc last longer. In the mountain roads of Himachal where hard breaking is required from time to time, I experienced brake fade. I thought it to be normal behaviour from Bosch pads and continued to drive. Long story short, I ended up in a ditch because the brakes didn't behave the way I was used to. Now I'm seeing more and more cars come with Sintered Pads. Even Tata Tiago comes with those. Edit : Reached video end, you mentioned Brembo pads 😅 I'll try EBC HH pads now.

Nowadays riders upgrading parts is more to satisfy their ego or mostly making content out of it and posting it in social media to grab attention, rather than actually improving their skills to out-do the performance of what the stock parts of the motorcycle has to offer. I have seen many riders upgrading parts because their stock brakes were not working. They lack the basic sense of maintenance and troubleshooting, to check what is wrong whether the caliper piston seals need to be replaced, or the brake fluid has gone bad or the master cylinder piston kit might need to be replaced. I have seen RUclips videos where a pulsar 220 guy fitted an expensive duke 390 adjustable lever just because his clutch lever feel was hard, I mean replacing the clutch cable or inspecting what actually the problem was and rectifying it would have been more cost effective and justifiable instead of misleading the 20k-30k viewer audience. When two of my friends bought the Triumph Speed 400, they both got the Mrf tyre fitted motorcycles and not the Apollo ones. They both wanted to replace the tyres right after going out of the showroom then I made them understand that they should keep their ego aside, no need of wasting money, neither do they have the skills to outrun the grip offered by the mrfs. They said but Sagar sheldekar and powerdrift suggested in their reviews that the stock tyres are not that great, I asked them tu Sagar jaise bike ko chala payega kya? Till date they are still running the stock mrfs and are happy.
